New and Improved.

So the blog looks totally different now, huh?  Ha!  I actually like it more now, as it feels like it’s a brand new year.  Cause it is!

It totally wasn’t by choice though – as always, I wait until I’m forced to make a decision that changes things – but in the end it turned out better.  Fresher.  Prettier.  And mostly, I feel better.

Basically the theme broke.  I couldn’t log in, couldn’t update even though there were things I wanted to update my 5 or so readers on.  Blah, blah, blah…Delete!  Delete everything!  Reinstall!  and…Voila.  New life look.

So I’ll work on a longer post.  Maybe a few, and update very soon, hopefully tonight.  Things of note?

1.  Looking for a new house.  House hunt in Seattle is horrific.  See Ninja’s post here about the Seattle bubble – he and I have been trading war stories about what we’re looking at, because it’s in the exact same area, about the same dollar amounts, and we’re both hitting our heads against walls.

2.  Finally spoke to my dad.  Dun dun dun…

3.  Borrowing money from parents.  Or…not.

And because I was at the Lego store letting my son play with the box of Legos while envying the parents who were able to bounce out of there with a $179 R2D2 without batting an eyelash, I made Lego-me.  This is what I look like.  Lego-fied.  Note the goblet of wine.

Me. Lego-fied.

And here’s more fun for you to read because this post is short and I have to thoughtfully prepare points 1, 2, & 3 above before I publish them.

My favorite PF bloggers and why I love them.

Ninja.  Because he and Girl Ninja (seem to be) good examples of people who make good financial choices, are morally upright, but don’t preach their beliefs on others.  Especially the latter, because my personal experience with religious-minded folk are bad ones…I look for people who can show me otherwise.

Michelle.  Because doesn’t she just seem like a good-natured soul, and just an all-around pleasant person?

J. Money.  Because his attitude, his joviality, and his devotion to his family is adorable.  And his love of Bud Light while looking at old coins and sporting a mohawk is hot.

That stinks about your theme, but I’m glad you’re back! Your blog still looks great.

And aww thanks so much. I’m glad to be one of your faves. You’re one of my favorites as well.
