A former tequila-shooting-now-diaper-changing mama of one and a bump living on an island in the middle of the sea with a man, a cat, and a computer.
I grew up on an island in the middle of the sea. When I was 18, I moved to Seattle for college and met a man while I was supposed to be studying. 10 years later, after years of bartending, cocktail serving, and executive assisting, after years of tequila shots and vodka gibsons, after mis-spent (not) years of youth, I moved (gasp!) home. While it hasn’t been a total vacation, with a sweet husband, an adorable son and a grumpy kitty, everything becomes manageable.
This is a personal finance blog, a mommy blog, a food blog. But it’s also not any of these things in particular.
This blog is a dedication to the simplicity of life that is often forgotten. In the stress of returning to family and friendly drama, I forgot for a while how to smile, how to laugh, how to be happy. I created this blog to remind me to remember.

Keep up the great work on your blog Kris! I’ve really been enjoying following your story. E-mail me if you ever need help with anything.
