to tv or not to tv

One of those money drains that seems like such a necessity is the TV. I have always had tv in my life; basic, cable, something was always there to keep me occupied. My husband had a tv but didn’t have anything more than bunny ears. His parents were so anti-tv in fact, that they would rig the tv to not work when they were out of the house. They should have realized that a PHD in one parent and Masters in Mathematics in another would equal children who were very, very savvy, and could thus jailbreak the tv when their parents weren’t home.
